I’ve always loved fashion.

As a child growing up I remember having to wear hand me downs.

I didn’t like it mostly because the clothes were ill fitting, but it was better than having nothing.

As I matured I became very particular about what I wore. I remember when I got my first part time job when I was in high school, how elated I was to be able to buy something that I loved.

When I saw this black fluted sleeve dress by Iris & Ink I was drawn to it. I love many colors (pink and lilac being among my favorites) but I adore black too.

I had never heard of the brand before, but I knew I was supposed to have this dress. It had been on my WISHLIST since December and by January 25th I couldn’t take it anymore.

I was scrolling through Facebook and an image of the dress popped up in my feed–you know how Facebook does.

The minute I saw the dress I began to see myself preaching in it. I was preaching a firey word and holding the microphone like it was saving my life.

You know what I did next right?

I clicked “Proceed with Your Order”.

I think I’m going to save this one for the conference.

I miss blogging.
